Avon Lake, OH…Hot fuel reduces engine performance, stresses the fuel pump, and can lead to vapor lock. High fuel temperatures can also cause race fuel to destabilize, gumming up the fuel system and wasting money. DEI has come up with an effective kit to help combat this problem. Simply line the underside of your fuel tank with the self-adhesive reflective material and trim to shape.
The DEI Reflect-A-Cool™ material is made up of a reflective aluminized reflective foil backed with a base layer of glass fiber. It’s rated to withstand continuous operating temperatures up to 400˚F and can reduce fuel temps up to 30%. DEI Helps Cool off the Red Hot Polaris® Slingshot™
Avon Lake, Ohio…Polaris® has redefined the powersports market segment with the recent introduction of its exciting three-wheeled Slingshot™. With its compact design and 4 cylinder engine, the muffler, catalytic converter, and exhaust manifold all reside in close proximity to one another on the right side of the vehicle. This concentration of heat easily transfers into the passenger area, cooking the floor and cockpit area.
To address the heat issue, DEI Powersports has developed a custom cut, 11 piece kit that includes a double walled main heat shield, a single walled floor pan heat shield, nine additional pieces to cover the transmission tunnel, rocker panels and center console. The end result is a cooler and quieter Slingshot; allowing for longer rides and improved rider comfort.
